THERE IS NOTHING XAN DOES THAT DOES INCLUDES SUBTLETY

HELP
30 minutes into blender I have figured out how to move stuff on the different planes, how to move nodes (right click to grab but left click to set ?????), how to duplicate, how do duplicate a lot. and then I finally figured out how to access and use the sculpt settings.
Now.
How do I zoom?
Let me explain some things about the scary, but actually not so bad, thing about Adobe’s Creative Cloud.
I’m really getting sick of this snowballing for incorrect information and assumptions when not a single person has posted the breakdowns or actually analyzed what is going on here. Alright, yes, the subscription fee is weird and intimidating, we’re not used to having to pay for a single item over time as opposed to a one time purchase. (Unless you’re a player of certain MMOs). First let me explain what this means, it means that you are purchasing a service, not the software. In-fact, it can be said that for most software, the high prices in the first place have to do with the service and not the program - costs of running the tech support, bug fixes, patches and such long after the initial release of the software. If you were to pay for the software, and absolutely nothing else was updated or fixed, until the next release of the software, the cost would likely be far less.
That being said, in regard to the prices everyone is upset about, allow me to do a breakdown for you.
Creative Suite Master Collection, perpetual license purchase $2600
Creative Suite Master Collection, perpetual license purchase, UPGRADE FROM CS5 MC ONLY $10491 year of Adobe Cloud, 50$, all products = $600
2 years of Adobe Cloud, 50$, all products = $1200
3 years of Adobe Cloud, 50$, all products = $1800
4 years of Adobe Cloud, 50$, all products = $2400Photoshop CS 6, perpetual license purchase $1,000
Photoshop CS 6, perpetual license purchase, UPGRADE FROM PHOTOSHOP CS5 ONLY $4001 year of Adobe Cloud, 50$, all products = $240
2 years of Adobe Cloud, 20$, single product = $480
3 years of Adobe Cloud, 20$, single product = $720
4 years of Adobe Cloud, 20$, single product = $960To compare this, let’s look at how often new release of adobe products occur, going from the CS series specifically,
CS - 2003
CS2 - 2005
CS3 - 2007
Cs4 - 2008
CS5 - 2010
CS6 - 2012Based on this there is a new version out every 2 years. With that in mind, look at the 2 year bracket on each of those, then compare to the upgrade cost. Not much of a difference is there? Additionally, it takes 4 years to reach the initial cost of the license itself. But in that time it would have already upgraded to the next version, potentially even sooner due to the constant flow of money vs bursts of income, at costs that are incredibly difficult for any new customer to get into.
So in the end, who looses out the most? The designers that have had the money to perpetually upgrade from each unit to the next are doing this at a slight more expense on their part. Also, those that don’t use photoshop, and only use, say, Dreamweaver (400$), Audition (350$) or Flash (600$), then yes, the single product model, would be more expensive than a single license.
You know who doesn’t loose out? The base level user that never owned a legitimate copy of the series and that wishes to use more than just one.Of course, the matter that you are locked out of your software after you are unable to pay, is the biggest problem of all this, and one that is most certainly something that should be discussed and worked out. I know this is to prevent those from paying one month and bailing with the entire library, but if there were to be a deal with adobe, that say after 2 years, if you were to cancel your service you would have access to those programs as they stand at that time, no more updates, no tech support, until you reactivate your subscription. 2 years is about the price of an upgrade, and for anyone that is going to consistently use it, I don’t think that’s a too long of a time to wait. Of course this is something that remains to be seen if it will work, but I think if adobe were to implement different ‘buy to own’ tiers, it would make users a lot more comfortable with the service, as well as be a benefit to those that, for whatever reason, can no longer afford it without being completely lost.
Now, I’m not saying you’re not allowed to not like the new system, but for goodness sakes, at least be informed of what it is you’re up against the real costs, and what it is you’re petitioning against. Still want a perpetual license? You can still purchase it. And adobe will continue to offer it for a few years. But, it will not be upgrading these services again and any new products will only be on the cloud.
Yes, this is weird and scary and intimidating, but, it’s really not the den of evil it’s been made out to be.
Here, look, I made an article. Since it’s art relevant I’ll re-blog it here.
PS there are student discounts, I don’t have the numbers yet but it looks to be 25$ a month. Will make a separate post once confirmed.
At 8”11.5” inches and 600 DPI I thought I wouldn’t be able to full the page with the sketch.
Now I have to increase the page size. Ooops
thestray said: Haha, but doesn’t the destitution make the action and pursuit have more tension and higher stakes? If they’re not destitute and they fail then isn’t kinda like “Oh well”?
Depends on what your goal is in the overall story. I found myself feeling a show like Cowboy Bebop was rather dull and dragged on because nothing was accomplished. If that was the goal of the show, that’s fine, it’s just not my thing.
There are going to be plans for an over-arching plot, I just don’t want to play the ‘always fail all the time because they’re underdogs’ angle, (because really, failing all the time becomes just as boring as winning all the time) if that makes any sense. Not to mention, I intend to make the bounty thing as more of a vigilantism, less of a concern for the bounty. So the suspense is in the danger of the person they’re pursuing, not the money.

Seriously! Like pretty much every series I’ve seen that involve Space Bounty Hunters or other kind small self employed groups (space freelancers) are usually really hard up for money, fail in most their potential jobs and rarely make it out ahead.
Cowboy Bebop, Outlaw Star, Firefly for example
Not that it’s a bad thing, I just see it a lot. I just want to do something where the focus is the action and the pursuit, and not the fact that they’re struggling to get by. IDK.
I have so many images I want to draw, and projects to work on and collaborations and I have no free time to accomplish them all in a reasonable amount of time *sobs*
List that matters to no one but me
A Formal Threat
Space Queens
Bad Crash
Cute Monsters
RoboToys
Flesh Golem
Space Bounty Hunters that Aren’t Destitute

TIME FOR MY 12 HOUR SHIFT AT WORK
Several months ago, I had the notion to sort of uh, update Truda’s design, and effectively her whole species. I’m still not certain if this is going to be the final verdict but it’s getting somewhere at least. I kept having sharks in mind for some reason.
There’s also the matter that I have no idea if I want to keep the white and purple striped hair, if I want to make it just straight white or what. Her poof hair has kinda been one of her defining features, and I don’t hate it.
I’ll just ink and color it a little, I said. It shouldn’t take me that long, I said. A simple background shouldn’t take too long, I said.
And then it was 4 am
Spent most the day on this with some interruptions, but I ballpark it around 10 hours of work. (the original size being 11.5”x8”) Talon’s being smug since she figured out a thing that really gets Blackburn upset with hardly any effort on her part. Willow just watches the transaction unfold. Blackburn’s horns look like wings… oops.

Here, have a time lapse of me making the darn thing
Thanks for answering! I figure it was only fair you share your perspective, too! You see RP in a really creative and fun way. I’ve always just used it to “play pretend” and be someone else for awhile.
Thanks for asking!
Nothing wrong with looking at it like that! I know a lot of people do, I would hazard to guess that it’s the most common drive in RP. I’m… kinda an obnoxious person to RP with because I remember all the tiny details (what with a world building preference and all) so I have a tendency to be really overwhelming x_x
I guess is why I thinking posing the question is important, keeping people aware of their preferences and how some things can clash and knowing that before starting?? To make sure a mutually beneficial agreement can be made first? Because I mean if you get someone that just wants to shoot the breeze and then they get stuck with someone like me and detail orientated-ness, and then there’s this mess because they want to go in two different directions and then it’s no fun.
So yeah… something like that.
